What is refractory application and how is it different from refractory supply?

Refractory application is the on-site installation of refractory materials — mixing, casting, gunning, ramming and curing — onto the equipment lining. Supply is delivery of the raw refractory materials. M.S. Enterprises offers both: we supply directly from manufacturers and our trained crews apply on site, eliminating the coordination overhead of working with separate vendors.

Which industries do you serve for refractory application?

Power plants (CFBC, AFBC, HRSG and pulverized-coal boilers), steel plants (blast furnaces, ladles, tundishes), cement plants (rotary kilns, preheater cyclones, coolers), petrochemical refineries, sugar and distillery boilers, and paper mill recovery boilers. What is gunning spray cement application?

Gunning spray cement (also called gunning mix or shotcrete) is a refractory material applied pneumatically through a high-pressure nozzle. It is the fastest method to repair worn linings during planned shutdowns — ideal for boiler furnace walls, kiln hot zones and rapid relining without removing the existing structure. We provide both gunning material supply and trained gunning operators.

Do you handle dry-out and curing after application?

Yes. Proper dry-out is critical — improper curing causes thermal shock failures within weeks of commissioning. Our scope covers controlled heat-up schedules, burner deployment, temperature logging and post-cure inspection. See our dedicated Dry-Out Services page for details.

How quickly can you mobilize a refractory application crew?

Standard mobilization is 7–10 days from PO. For emergency shutdown work in central/western India we can deploy within 48–72 hours subject to crew availability. Pan-India coverage is supported through pre-vetted regional sub-teams.
